The event raised important questions at the intersection of cosmetology and phlebology, and reports were made by leading domestic and foreign experts in these areas of medicine.

Daria Petrovna Manankina, dermatologist-cosmetologist, laser cosmetologist, certified trainer of the Cynosure company, (Moscow, Russia), presented the message: "Theoretical substantiation of the use of the technology of sequential delivery of multi-wavelength pulses (PDL and Nd: YAG) in the treatment of vascular pathologies."

Daria Petrovna shared interesting statistical data characterizing the importance of vascular pathology both in modern European society and in the practice of a cosmetologist. The results of the practical application of the technology of sequential supply of multi-wave pulses presented by Dr. Manankina indicate a significant potential of the technique in the treatment of skin vessels in different parts of the body.

Anastasia Yuryevna Popova, cosmetologist, dermatologist, specialist in the field of laser cosmetology, laser therapy of vascular pathologies, treatment of hyperpigmentation, hair removal, (Moscow, Russia), as part of the event, held a master class on the removal of vascular pathologies of the lower extremities using the technology of sequential delivery of multi-wave pulses (PDL and Nd: Yag).

Kasuo Miyake, a famous Brazilian vascular surgeon, professor, head of the Miyake clinic, author of the CLACS method, president of the international conference on aesthetic phlebology IMAP, (Sao Paulo, Brazil), presented the message: "CLACS technology: indications and description of the technique."

Report by Professor Casuo Miyake (São Paulo, Brazil)

Report by Professor Casuo Miyake (São Paulo, Brazil)

Dr. Miyake talked about the theoretical justifications, the stages of formation and formation, the advantages and practical aspects of applying the CLACS methodology. Kasuo Miyake's proprietary technology consists in the simultaneous use of sclerotherapy, laser transdermal treatment, contact cooling and the use of a device for visualizing veins. This technique combines two technologies that have been competing for decades: sclerotherapy and percutaneous laser coagulation. Many specialists today use both the original CLACS and various options for combining laser and sclerotherapy. But the beginning of this path, of course, was laid by Dr. Kosuo Miyake.

Elena Olegovna Belyanina, surgeon, oncologist, Ph.D., Clinic of Plastic Surgery and Cosmetology: "Frau CLINIC", (Moscow, Russia), presented the message: "Problems of small vessels in the practice of a cosmetologist."

Elena Olegovna shared the basic principles of working with various cosmetic vascular skin defects. A significant part of the message was devoted to the so-called capillary malformations or wine stains. This vascular pathology is one of the most difficult to treat, and today modern European medicine continues to search for the optimal effect on capillary malformations to achieve good treatment results.

Pavel Yuryevich Gavrin, vascular surgeon, phlebologist, member of the Baltic Society of Phlebologists, (Minsk, Belarus), presented the message: "Genital varicose veins".

This pathology is at the junction of phlebology and gynecology, which is probably why it does not have wide coverage in the world scientific literature. Pavel Yuryevich shared the results of good work with varicose veins of the inguinal region in women. Dr. Gavrin announced the main findings based on this clinical practice:

  • Genital varicose veins respond well to treatment.
  • As a result of treatment, decent results were obtained, both from a clinical and aesthetic point of view.
  • For successful work with genital varicose veins, ultrasound diagnostics is necessary.

Eli Kassabian, Phlebologist, Head of the Venous Diseases Center, Beirut Wayne Clinic, (Beirut, Lebanon), presented the message: “Leg teleangiectasias and laser: what you need to know”.

Reported by Dr. Eli Cassabian (Beirut, Lebanon)

Dr. Kassabian once again shared his remarkable results and spoke about the benefits of working on modern laser platforms. Dr. Kassabian also demonstrated a master class on removing telangiectasias (spider veins) of the lower extremities.

Gulnara Shakhvalievna Kasimova, gynecologist, oncologist, chief physician of the Vozrozhdenie clinic, (Kirov, Russia), presented the message: “Laser technology 650 μs - new opportunities in the effective treatment of newborn hemangiomas”. Dr. Kasimova shared her experience of using a modern percutaneous laser in the treatment of vascular neoplasms in children.

Gintas Pashunas, surgeon at the Department of Pediatric Surgery and Vascular Malformations Center at Vilnius University Hospital, President of the Lithuanian Association of Laser Medicine, (Vilnius, Lithuania), presented the message: "Treatment of congenital hemangiomas and vascular malformations."

Dr. Pashunas told about various nuances of the treatment of vascular skin neoplasms in Lithuania.

Diana Vitalievna Dimedion, dermatologist, cosmetologist, chief physician of the Academy of Cosmetology Premium Aesthetics clinic, (Moscow, Russia), presented the message: “Prevention and treatment of post-traumatic dyspigmentation”.

Hyper-and hypopigmentation of the skin remains a significant problem in the work of aesthetic specialists of various medical specialties. It is not always possible to completely eliminate this complication, but it is necessary to make every effort to reduce the likelihood of skin dyspigmentation. Diana Vitalievna revealed the causes, pathophysiological foundations, principles of treatment and prevention of dispigmentation in the practice of the modern doctor of aesthetic medicine. Despite the fact that the lecture was primarily aimed at cosmetologists working with a percutaneous laser, the message of Diana Vitalievna is relevant for any specialist in aesthetic medicine.

Oksana Vasilievna Bukina, cardiovascular surgeon, Ph.D., Doctor Profi clinic, (Tambov, Russia), opened the topic: “Hypertonic glucose solution in aesthetic phlebology”.

As part of the report, Oksana Vasilievna presented the results of a comparative randomized study of the efficacy and safety of using 0,2% sodium tetradecyl sulfate solution and 75% glucose to remove telangiectasias using sclerotherapy for telangiectasias not associated with reticular veins. 87 women participated in the research work. Treatment results were evaluated on 14, 28, 42 and 56 day. Side effects such as the formation of coagulum, hyperpigmentation of the skin, the formation of secondary telangiectasias, and migraine were recorded. According to these parameters, sclerotherapy with 75% glucose solution had a significant advantage, the listed side effects occurred much less frequently. The cosmetic effect of eliminating telangiectases was comparable in both groups. The work carried out, perhaps, will accelerate the introduction of hypertonic glucose solution as a sclerosant in domestic phlebological practice. In the second part of the report, Oksana Vitalyevna shared the results of sclerobliteration of vascular defects of the skin of the face. Sclerotherapy with 75% glucose solution had a good effect in the cheek area, but was practically ineffective in the nose. As part of the event, Oksana Vasilyevna held a master class on the removal of telangiectasias using sclerobliteration.

Matvey Alexandrovich Parikov, surgeon, phlebologist, leading specialist of the St. Petersburg branch of the Innovative Vascular Center, board member of the Baltic Society of Phlebologists, (St. Petersburg, Russia), opened the topic: "Possibilities of using a neodymium laser in combination with sclerotherapy for reticular varicose veins."
