“Eraser - a variation of CLACS or an independent method?”, Online colloquium with interactive discussion on 06.05.2020/XNUMX/XNUMX.

On May 6, 2020, the next online meeting was held on the topic: “Eraser “A variation of CLACS or a stand-alone method?” The leaders of the online event were a phlebologist, professor, Konstantin Vitalievich Mazayshvili (Surgut) and a phlebologist, candidate of medical sciences, Sergei Mikhailovich Markin (St. Petersburg).

Their messages were presented by one of the leading experts in the field of aesthetic phlebology of St. Petersburg, Dmitry Alexandrovich Rosukhovsky and Oleg Alexandrovich Shonov.

Dmitry Aleksandrovich Rosukhovsky, Candidate of Medical Sciences, (St. Petersburg), presented the message: “Microsecond laser pulse for solving vascular problems: opportunities, effects, advantages. The principle of operation of the transcutaneous laser. "

Dmitry Alexandrovich revealed the physics of the effects of laser radiation and the features of its medical application. In the beginning, Dr. Rosukhovsky conducted a brief historical excursion on the appearance and development of laser technology. The fundamental aspects of the effect of laser radiation on biological tissues were described in detail by Dmitry Alexandrovich. In the second part of the online message, Dmitry Alexandrovich presented a video demonstrating the operation of a medical laser and the use of a modern short-pulse laser in aesthetic phlebology. Dr. Rosukhovsky shared his own secrets of achieving a good result. The combination of cryosclerotherapy and short-pulse laser radiation using additional visualization form the basis of the Eraser technology. This modern method for removing reticular veins and telangiectasias was developed by Dr. Rosukhovsky. Today, Dmitry Alexandrovich successfully uses this technique in everyday clinical practice.

Oleg Aleksandrovich Shonov, vascular surgeon, phlebologist, (St. Petersburg), presented the message: microsecond laser pulse for solving vascular problems: opportunities, effects, advantages.

In the lecture, Oleg Alexandrovich plunged the audience even more into the physical aspects of percutaneous laser exposure. A review of leading scientific research on the use of modern medical lasers, the results obtained in experimental studies, were announced by Dr. Shonov. Oleg Alexandrovich gave a consistent substantiation of the advantages of a short laser pulse over a more widespread long one. Good results of applying the LASTIK technique in our own clinical practice were also presented.

Today there is not much data obtained in good comparative and experimental studies to determine the advantages of short- or long-pulse lasers. In fact, there is no standardization of approaches to percutaneous removal of blood vessels. Therefore, there are so many questions for the innovative LASTIK procedure.
